Hello! I'm Jason Albright. Ironically, I could never draw a stick figure without it looking, let's just say... a bit odd.
In my later 20's I accidentally fell into a career in the cosmetics industry learning everything from applying a simple lipgloss to full-on runway show makeup applications for various Fashion Week runway shows.
I "retired" from makeup artistry around 2008, and entered the field of multi-residential property management, but I never lost my love for color, which is why I continue to enjoy abstract art and lately... painting by pouring!!!
I use different mediums including oils and acrylic. I've been doing more acrylic pour painting lately and often times design my works to be viewed under varying LED lighting effects as well as traditional lighting. This gives people more than one way to view each painting.
I'd have to say that my most influential artist would be Roger Dean, who is a well known artist who graced the covers of many album covers with his works. He often worked in water colors, creating vividly colorful "other worlds".
In addition, I gain inspiration for color schemes and patterns from my DJ/Lighting sets, which is another way I pass some of my free time.
